Essential oils allow us to connect to the essence of the plant so that we can begin to build a relationship and learn from it’s wisdom

Customized Intuitive Essential Oil Blends

Coming Late Spring 2024

What is an anointing oil?

The term anointing oil comes out of spiritual traditions where a sacred oil is used to offer blessings and healing. These sacred anointing oils can be used to evoke certain healing or nourishing energetics, e.g., heart opening, focusing, intuition accessing, etc. Anointing oils support us in developing a relationship with the plant essences that are blended in the oil. The specific essences were intuitively chosen for their healing and energetic qualities to support you in tapping into your own innate capacities.

What’s the process of ordering a custom blend?

You’ll fill out a detailed questionnaire sharing what you’re looking for support around and I’ll tune into the your needs and wants to see what essential oils want to support your process. Depending, I may also do a brief phone consultation (I’m still playing with my process around this!). As far as the blending goes, I’m basing my choices on attuning to you and your responses and my intuitive relationship with the different oils. That said, I am not a medical professional or certified aromatherapist or essential oil practitioner so if you have specific medical questions or concerns, I recommend you consult your doctor. You can expect to receive your anointing oil in the mail within a few weeks of your customized blend request or you can pick it up from me if you live in the Asheville area.

Divine Heart: Spring Collaboration Blend

This oil is a collaboration between Cindy of Cozy Hermit Coven and I. We were inspired by the energy of springtime and the blend is created to support folks in navigating the outward, stimulating energy of springtime. We intentionally chose oils to support that outward, joyful, blossoming energy of spring while also supporting grounding, calm and steadiness in order to sustain the expansive energy of spring. This blend helps balance and harmonize energy, supporting connection with the divine, heart-opening and creative energy, and then anchoring all of that with a sweet connection to your root chakra.

Heart-Opening Intuition Blend

This is a blend I was inspired to create after learning to open my own Akashic records. One of my mentors encouraged us to explore sensory supports that helped us connect to this sacred intuitive space. This is a great blend for supporting you in opening up sacred space, connecting with your intuition, your higher self, and your guides, meditating, journaling, or channeling or anything else where you’d like some support opening up your heart and your intuition.

Autumn Comforting Blend

This was my very first solo blend after training with my mentor Katie Vie. It was inspired by the season and feeling into what energies would be supportive to navigate this liminal, transition season. There are aspects of moving into fall as it gets colder and days get darker that can bring up a sense of loss so I focused on cozy, comforting, and grounding essential oils.

Training and Experience

I’ve been using essential oils for my own healing and support for years. And over the years I’ve experiment with making salves and body butter and bath salts for gifts for friends and family. Early on, most of my essential oil choices came from googling the healing qualities of specific oils and honestly I didn’t have a very deep relationship with the oils.

In fall of 2023, I took a super powerful course called Archetype + Aroma with Katie Vie of River Island Apothecary. Katie has years of experience building deep intuitive relationships with plants, fragrances and oils. She taught us about relationship between oils and the parts of plants that they come from and why that’s important to know about. It was a perfect blend of tapping into our own sensory intuition when it comes to how certain aromas make us feel or what comes up for us as we tune into the energy of different parts of plants while also teaching us about plant morphology, blending, and the healing qualities of specific archetypes.

For example, if I was working with frankincense I would think about the fact that it comes from a resin, which gets excreted when a plant is injured so it’s self-healing, antifungal, antimicrobial, and very deeply protective. To me a resin speaks to the beauty and resilience that comes only from healing from a wound. I have a deep appreciation for these oils as I know that there was a wound in the plant that enabled the production of the resin. The aroma of frankincense itself awakens a sense of the sacred within and around me.

So when I blend oils, I draw on this learning with Katie as well as my own experience and play with the different oils. I often refer to Valerie Ann Worwood’s texts once I land on a blend I like to deepen my understanding and appreciation for the oils I chose. I especially LOVE her book: Aromatherapy for the Soul—if you’re looking for a reference for yourself, I highly recommend.

Being the therapist and coach that I am, most of my blends are formulated to support specific energetic or emotional states rather than being designed to support physical ailments. That said, most oils also have physical benefits but that’s not really my focus here. On that note, I am not a medical practitioner nor do I have a aromatherapy or essential oil certification. If you have specific physical concerns, e.g., allergies, etc., I recommend you consult your health care provider before using these oils.

✺ Frequently asked questions ✺

  • I try to buy organic and sustainably sourced ingredients whenever possible. Most of my ingredients come from Mountain Rose Herbs or Eden Botanicals.

  • Store products in a cool, dark space and do not allow them to sit in sunlight or direct heat (such as in your car). Direct sunlight or heat can cause your oils to degrade more quickly.

  • Because your anointing oil is mixed with a carrier oil (though it’s still quite concentrated), it will create build up in a diffuser. The ultrasonic disc in a diffuser is not able to break up carrier oils the same way that it can water and pure essential oils. The purpose of these oils is more to be applied directly to a point on your body where you want the supportive energy of the blend.

  • I generally put whatever anointing oils I’m using on my wrists and behind my ears so that I can continue to smell the aroma when I want and so that it absorbs quickly. You could also explore putting the oil directly on the area of your body you want support with, e.g., soles of the feet for grounding, heart area for heart opening, crown of the head or third eye for intuition, etc. I’d invite you to play with it and see what places your drawn to. If you don’t want to place the oil directly on your body, you can place it on a tissue to breathe in the aroma or on an altar object to invoke the energy on your altar and/or make an offering.

  • Just like anything else, essential oils lose their potency over time. Some oils like citrus oils lose their potency faster and others will last for years. So on the whole, I’d recommend to use your oil regularly over the course of a year. It won’t go bad after that but it wil lose it’s potency over time.

  • You’re anointing oil comes in a 3ml amber glass bottle with a plastic orifice reducer and screw top. Each bottle is made to order with a one of a kind label. It comes with a small sheet of instructions and description. I don’t disclose the specific ingredients but if you have concerns or allergies, you can definitely ask!
